Lorena Paz Nieto

Barber Lunchtime Concert

  • Lorena Paz Nieto soprano
  • Anna Tilbrook piano

This award-winning Spanish soprano makes her Barber Concerts debut as part of our continuing partnership with Oxford Lieder for a performance entitled 'A Spanish Songbook'. Lorenza is an alumna of the National Opera Studio, and more recently winner of the ‘vocalist of the year’ at the 2019 LUKAS awards. She has an enviable reputation for captivating audiences, and operatic performances have been met with critical acclaim. The programme includes Judith Weir's A Spanish Liederbooklet and songs by Granados and Rodrigo.

Listening to Song

Katy Hamilton offers encouragement and advice to those who perhaps feel that song recitals are not for them, and giving further insight to those who already enjoy the genre.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Sholto Kynoch is unable to perform and we are grateful to Anna Tilbrook for stepping in at short notice.
