The University's foremost early music ensemble presents an evening of sinfonias and early operatic overtures on period instruments under the baton of Professor Andrew Kirkman. The programme includes the overture to Alessandro Stradella’s 1678 opera The Power of Paternal Love – an opera that will be staged for the first time since the 17th century this April by Barber Opera.
