This fascinating collection gives an interesting and varied snapshot of the sixteenth-century Italian lute repertoire, featuring music by the most celebrated of Italian lutenists, Francesco Canova da Milano, Alberto da Ripa, Pietro Paolo Borrono, and Marco Dall’Aquila.
