Unquestionably one of the world's finest string quartets, the Belcea Quartet make a welcome return to Barber Concerts. With players hailing from Romania, France, and Poland, having formed whilst studying at the Royal College of Music in the mid 1990s, the quartet have an enviable reputation having performed internationally for almost 20 years. The musicians created their very own Belcea Quartet Trust, whose main aims are to support and inspire young string quartets, as well as support the commissioning of new music.
