Research Activity

My PhD project is devoted to examining heart physiology, specifically, mechanistic changes that occur during ageing, ischemic and dilated cardiomyopathy. With the cardiac framework, this research attempts to achieve the following three aims: i) Create a workflow that allows constructing a data-driven metabolic pathway and in silico models from mass spectra; ii) Create a numerical method for inferring a metabolic network in the presence of data sparsity; iii) Generate and confirm data-driven hypotheses regarding potential biomarkers for ICM, DCM and ageing.
