Mark received an M.Sci. in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Birmingham in 2017. He continued at the University of Birmingham for his PhD, initially under the supervision of Dr Corneliu Hoffman and subsequently Professor Chris Parker, which is expected to be completed in early 2022.

Mark's PhD thesis explores representations of groups of Lie type using their associated geometries, known as 'buildings'.
