Qualifications Lecturer in Mathematical Analysis: •Habilitation in Mathematics, University of Bonn, 2017 •PhD in Mathematics, University of California, Berkeley, 2012 •BSc in Mathematics, University of Porto, 2006 Biography Diogo Oliveira e Silva graduated with a BSc in Pure Mathematics from the University of Porto in 2006. He then obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2012. Up until recently, Diogo was an Assistant Professor at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Bonn, where he completed his Habilitation in Mathematics in 2017. Diogo joined the School of Mathematics at the University of Birmingham in early 2018. Postgraduate supervision Diogo Oliveira e Silva is interested in supervising PhD students in Harmonic Analysis and related topics. His research focuses on Euclidean Harmonic Analysis with special emphasis on sharp inequalities, oscillatory integrals and restriction theory for the Fourier transform. More recently Diogo became interested in Uncertainty Principles, Sphere Packings and Nonlinear Fourier Analysis.
