Personal webpage Qualifications PhD in Mathematics, Hamburg, 2015 Habilitation in Mathematics, Hamburg, 2018 Biography During his PhD and undergraduate studies in Hamburg, Johannes was funded by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. After that he took up a Junior Research Fellowship in Cambridge. Now he is a Birmingham Fellow. Teaching Semester 1 LH/LM Integer Programming and Combinatorial Optimisation Research Johannes is particularly interested in Graph Minors, Connectivity and Matroids. Recently he characterised the simply connected 2-complexes embeddable in 3-space -- in a way similar to Kuratowski's characterisation of graph planarity.
