Dr Ai Guan is an algebraic topologist and a Teaching Fellow in the School of Mathematics.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Mathematics, Lancaster University, 2021
  • MSci in Mathematics, Imperial College London, 2016

Biography

Ai obtained an MSci in Mathematics from Imperial College London and went on to complete her PhD at Lancaster University in 2021 under the supervision of Andrey Lazarev.

She stayed at Lancaster as a postdoc until April 2022 before moving to the University of Seville, Spain for a further postdoc.

In January 2023, Ai joined the School of Mathematics in Birmingham as a Teaching Fellow and is part of the Geometry and Mathematical Physics group.
