Directions for participants

Parking on and around campus is very limited at the moment due to various construction projects around campus. Participants are encouraged to use public transport where possible. The University of Birmingham has its own train station, called 'University'. This is a 10 minute walk from the School of Metallurgy and Materials on Pritchatts Road, which is building G6 on the campus map available as an interactive webpage or as a downloadable PDF (265Kb).

If you are bringing bulky materials to the Fair, you are welcome to unload in the School of Metallurgy and Materials' car park on Pritchatts Road, in plenty of time before the event starts. Unfortunately due to limited onsite parking, you will subsequently need to move your vehicle to one of the large car parks (e.g. there is a large car park on Pritchatts Road, on the other side of Vincent Drive). Visitor parking permits are available from the organisers.

If driving to the Fair, please also be aware that Pritchatts Road is closed just before the roundabout at Vincent Drive / Farquhar Road, as shown in the sketch (not to scale) belowMetAndMatDirections
