A celebration and togetherness of a difficult and different semester one 18 December 2020 Although it has been a tough and challenging year, the Black, Ethnic and Minority Scientists Society have worked hard to plan engaging virtual events and help new support students. Their dedicated committee span all aspects of university life and all disciplines. They're working hard to support their members by creating support families and new activities. A semester to remember! 17 December 2020 These past few months have been fantastic for the Investment Society! Starting from zero members in August to now over 470 (with many from EPS), they are one of the largest and most active societies at the University. A strong term with Women in Tech 17 December 2020 It has been a challenging year for all of us. However, for the Women in Tech Society it has meant a new beginning as they only formed in April, and it's been quite a journey. Valeria Popescu tells us how they've grown. NucSoc are proud to report our activities for the autumn term of the 2020/21 academic year! 17 December 2020 NucSoc have persevered to keep providing events and carrying on as normal as possible. Their President, Dylan tells us how they've adapted and their successes in virtual events. BES vs COVID: Taking Energy Online! 16 December 2020 Although this past year has been very difficult, Birmingham Energy Society continue to grow their impact: they've just launched a campaign to reduce energy consumption in student accommodation! BES will not be stopped! oSTEM: We're not slowing down! 16 December 2020 This semester has been quite different for oSTEM, as I'm sure it has been for many, but that hasn't slowed them down! Their Chair Claire tells us more. Lockdown, but full steam ahead for WISE 14 December 2020 Running a student led society in a tier 3 lockdown would always be a challenge.
