PhD funding is available from a variety of sources depending on whether you are a home or an overseas student. Below is a selection of possible funding sources.
Each year, the School of Metallurgy and Materials has a number of competitive school scholarships for outstanding students. We will invite appropriate candidates who have submitted their application before the deadline for interview in February each year to be considered for these.
- First deadline - 31th of January
If some funding remains unallocated, we will optionally undertake a 2nd round of interviews in April.
- Second deadline - 31st of March
We also have a number of scholarships linked to our Centres of Doctoral Training. These are generally advertised under the PhD projects page.
