A one-day workshop on surface and interface science is to be held at the University of Birmingham on 17th December 2018.

Surface Science Day 2018 illustrationThe workshop covers most physics and chemistry aspects of surfaces and is accessible to students and post-docs. The format is a full day of invited speakers who are leaders in their fields within Surface Science, with tea and coffee breaks to promote interaction and discussion between sub-disciplines. In addition, there was a poster session, for contributed posters from delegates. Student posters are eligible for entry for the poster prize, which will be awarded on the day.

If you would like more information about the day, please visit the Surface Science Day 2018 Programme [PDF] or read over a selection of abstracts [PDF] for the event.

This will be the third event of the series. The first one was organised in the University of Central Lancashire in 2015 and the second in the University of Liverpool in 2017 (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/surface-science/surface-science-day-2017/).
