- Engineering and Physical Sciences, Research
Between July 16th and 21st, the Solar & Stellar Physics Group is proud to be hosting the the 3rd annual gathering of the TESS Asteroseismic Science Consortium and the 10th gathering of the Kepler Asteroseismic Science Consortium. This conference is the main international meeting for the field of asteroseismology, and we will be welcoming more than 160 delegates from around the world.
This year the focus will be on preparations for the launch, in spring 2018, of the NASA TESS Mission. We will also see the latest results from the NASA Kepler and K2 Missions on stellar evolution and stellar physics, the characterisation of exoplanet systems, and the structure and evolution of the Milky Way (Galactic Archaeology).
