Psychology staff at the University of Birmingham have a long history of research collaborations with UK and overseas police forces, the findings of which inform policing tactics. One year ago, the collective expertise in policing and criminal justice across the University was recognised through the foundation of a cross-College Centre for Crime, Justice and Policing by Dr Jessica Woodhams (Psychology) and Dr Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay (Economics).

The Centre's membership includes several of our psychologists at UoB. Current research projects that our psychologists are leading or are part of have been featured in an ITN/Police Federation film launched at the Police Federation's Annual Conference this week in Birmingham.
