Title of PhD: The Development of Challenging Behaviour in Children with Intellectual Disabilities

Supervisors: Professor Chris Oliver and Dr Dawn Adams

Louise Handley is a PhD student working under the Supervision of Professor Chris Oliver. Louise is involved in research with children with developmental delay and intellectual disabilities, working with both children and their families. The focus of this research is on early screening for challenging behaviour, in addition to investigating functions of early emerging challenging behaviour and its relationship with parent well being.

Biography

Louise Handley obtained an Undergraduate Psychology Degree from the University of Nottingham in 2009 before moving to the University of Birmingham in 2010 to start a three year funded PhD in the School of Psychology.
