Title of PhD: Goal Source Effects in Social Categorization and Stereotype Activation

Supervisors: Dr Brandon Stewart & Dr Kimberly Quinn

Laura is interested in how goals influence the automaticity of social categorization and stereotype activation. In particular, Laura is interested in the source of our goals (i.e. internally generated vs. externally imposed).

Biography

Laura graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2009 with a First Class BSc (Hons) in psychology. Laura started her PhD on goal source effects in stereotype activation and social categorization at the University of Birmingham with Dr Brandon Stewart and Dr Kimberly Quinn in 2010. Laura is due to complete her PhD in 2013.
