Daniella Nayyar is undertaking doctoral research that is examining the utility of social identity theory to provide a new perspective from which to view the voting groups of the EU Referendum and US Presidential Election of 2016. She is investigating differences in perceptions of intergroup identification and social values, with the aim of providing information as to how diverging political groups may be brought back together.

Biography

Daniella Nayyar completed her undergraduate degree at Aston University, studying Human Psychology. After that, she worked in customer services, marketing and as a Community Facilitator for the National Citizen Service, as well as an intern under an applied social psychology researcher. During the PhD, Daniella has worked as a Research Associate, a Teaching Associate and a Teaching Fellow on the undergraduate psychology course.
