Krishna Kumar Perumal is undertaking doctoral research in visual perception. He is using computational framework to compare luminance changes with changes in texture contrast or luminance amplitude. He is studying the use of combination of hue, texture segmentation, and luminance amplitude: the aim being to see how these cues relate to illumination changes in the environment.
