Consuelo is undertaking doctoral research into EEG assessments of residual cognitive functions in patients diagnosed with acute and prolonged disorders of consciousness. She is focused on markers of speech processing and comprehension, to be used for the estimation of the likelihood of recovery, and thus contribute to diagnostic and prognostic accuracy of disorders of consciousness.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile.
  • MSc in Neuropsychology, University of Bristol, UK.

Biography

Consuelo studied her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile, and completed her MSc in Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol. Her PhD project is funded by Becas Chile and focuses on EEG assessments of residual cognitive functions in patients diagnosed with acute and prolonged disorders of consciousness.
