Our School of Psychology is one of the strongest and most active psychology departments in the UK.

More than half of our research activity is rated as world leading (4*) (REF 2014). 

Excellent research opportunities are provided by our links with local hospitals and clinics, local schools and nurseries, other University departments, industrial companies and departments of local and national government, both in this country and overseas.

The School currently has a live research grant portfolio of £14.1m generating an annual income of around £3.8m.
