The Neuropsychology and Paediatric Imaging Laboratory

Welcome to the NeuroPIL research website. The Neuropsychology and Paediatric Imaging Laboratory is based at the University of Birmingham, in the School of Psychology.

Research conducted here strives to answer clinically-relevant research questions about cognitive and behavioural dysfunction, using advanced brain imaging tools and comprehensive neuropsychological assessments. Our approach adopts three core strategies:

  • Defining outcomes
  • Understanding mechanisms
  • Tools (e.g. neuroimaging and mathematical modelling) to predict outcomes

Enquiries about joining the lab can be directed to Dr Amanda Wood. Currently available PhD projects can be viewed on the FindAPhD website.
