Application of Electrophysiological Approaches in Cognitive Neuroscience

Description

This module will cover electrophysiological methods and their application in cognitive neuroscience. Physiological mechanisms generating the MEG and EEG signals measured from the human brain will be addressed as well as various analysis approaches to quantify event-related and oscillatory responses. Matlab exercises will cover basic analysis approaches.

By the end of the module students should be able to: Design EEG and MEG experiments and analyse electrophysiological data designed to address questions in cognitive neuroscience.
