Medicine in Society: The Neurobiology of Mental Illness

Description

This module will involve 75 hours of student study time in total. Via the introductory lectures and small-group teaching, students will be introduced to current concepts, theories and controversies in our understanding of the neurobiology of mental illnesses. Students will identify an area of particular interest for independent in-depth study which will be assessed by a 3,000 word essay. Individual supervisions will be available for students who need guidance in terms of direction and defining topics for their essay.
