Professor Aubrey Newman

Aubrey Newman is Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Leicester, and founder and Honorary Associate Director of the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Aubrey has published extensively on Anglo-Jewish history, particularly the history of Provincial Jewry since the middle of the eighteenth century. He co-edited (together with Stephen Massil) Patterns of Migration, 1850-1914 (London, 1996), and (together with Barbara Butler), A Sacred Memory: Lectures in Honour of Elchanan and Miriam Elkes (Leicester, 2003), and is the author of The Holocaust: We Must Never Forget, Nor Allow It To Happen Again (London, 2002).
