The Birmingham Society for Jewish Studies in association with the School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion, University of BirminghamPresents a series of three lectures on the broad theme of Second Temple Judaism: The Cradle of the Bible and the Hotbed of Creative (Re)writing.

The last lecture in the series entitled Are some Qumran caves more special than others? will be given by Dr Charlotte Hempel.

Charlotte is a Reader in Hebrew Bible and Second Temple Judaism and has published six books on the Dead Sea Scrolls, most recently Qumran Rule Texts in Context (2013). She is also Executive Editor of the journal Dead Sea Discoveries.
