Research

This study is about articulating and describing theologically the Christian religious experience of African Pentecostals in Zimbabwe. It aims to demonstrate how Pentecostalism has popularized the Theology of Experience in Africa in a manner which has won a response from Africans because of its resonance with their own world-view and cultural values. It will analyze and categorize those specific Pentecostal practices and doctrines which are most logically linked to religious experience and the propagation of such experience, as found in the Apostolic Faith Mission, one of the largest Pentecostal denomination.
