Why do good people deliver bad care? Understanding emotional labour
Emotional labour is a poorly understood concept and largely invisible in management practice. This session will help managers think about their roles in relation to caring for their staff, and why it matters in terms of sustaining good practice for clients.. The current research and challenges, largely relate to health care and nurses- but is highly applicable to social work practitioners. There will be an opportunity to reflect on the research and consider implications for SW practice.
Registration is FREE for this seminar, however, you must reserve a place
