Commissioning for mental wellbeingMental health and wellbeing have been poorly understood as public health issues and can be abstract concepts. This free seminar explores the current policy emphasis on prevention and improving the mental health of the whole population with input from Gregor Henderson, Director of Wellbeing and Mental Health for Public Health England. Drawing on work undertaken by Prof Chris Heginbotham and Dr Karen Newbigging, the seminar provides an opportunity for commissioners and their partners to identify what they can do to translate current aspirations of public mental health into tangible commissioning strategies.

The seminar will be followed by a book launch of the new title from Sage by Prof Heginbotham and Dr Newbigging entitled Commissioning for Health and Wellbeing.
