Individual Service Funds (ISFs) provide another financial option for people who access care to have greater control over the funding available for their support. Held by providers rather than the person or the commissioning authorities, ISFs can open up the benefits of more personalised funding to people who may find it difficult to access other options due to the complexity of their need or their limited informal support networks. However there are many potential challenges to their implementation and a danger that the new funding process may not finally lead to improvements in people’s quality of life and ability to direct their care.

This interactive one day event is an opportunity to explore the potential of ISF through the practical experiences of organisations and facilitators who have been early adopters of their introduction.

Who should attend?

The workshop is a must for all providers and commissioners who are seeking to widen opportunities for more personalised funding and in so doing to respond to the expectations of the Care Act.

Registration and cost

The non-residential registration fee is £100 (inclusive of all materials and refreshments).
