Family Potential Research Group

We face major policy and practice concerns about how best to respond to ‘troubled families’, protect children or arrange informal support around vulnerable adults. Families are variously seen as both the problem and the solution. However, existing service provision can find thinking family both challenging and controversial – and can struggle to provide coherent and effective strategies for engaging with the complex realities of family life.
