Current role

Motocaddy Marketing Manager – with company since June 2006

Career experiences

When I left the University of Birmingham I applied for a job at Motocaddy and thankfully my application was successful. My initial role was within the customer service department and remained as such for the first 12 months. When the previous marketing manager left, I was offered the job and have been working within this role for the last two and a half years.

Below is a quick list of some of my areas of responsibilities:

  • PR
  • Advertising
  • Website
  • Branding
  • Golf Shows
  • Exhibitions
  • Printed material
  • Photography
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Point of Sale

As well as this, I have had a large input into product development and testing.

What is the best thing about what you are doing now?

The large variation of tasks which my job involves.

Growth and Change through study

By going to university you learn independence and responsibility which would take a lot longer to learn by taking another path. It sets you up for your future career and life.

The best thing about being an AGMS student

The wide range of knowledge gained through the degree.

Expectations and Experiences of Birmingham

It was great experience living away from home and you learn independence. It was also good to be living in such a busy and multi-cultural city.

Advice for current students

Go for it! It was the only degree I applied for and I was pleased I did. I would also recommend getting involved with the University Golf Team as this was a great experience.
