Career experiences

Since graduation I completed my 3rd year PGA placement in Dublin. I then began my full time career as a golf co-ordinator with the Marriott Forest of Arden. After two years in this position, I spent a year at Celtic Manor and experienced the Ryder Cup first hand. From here I then moved in my current position.

What is the best thing about what you are doing now?

The daily challenge of managing Marriott UK's flagship venue. Building and developing a team of golf professionals. Working towards my goal in becoming a leading Director of Golf 

What was the best thing about your time as an AGMS student?

Achieving 1st class honours in my dissertation

What were your expectations and experiences of Birmingham?

Even better than expected. The people you meet and the social life whilst studying in Birmingham was amazing.

How did you grow as a person by coming to University?

Did it change your life in any way? Yes, you become alot more indepentant when moving away from home for the first time. Not only that, the new people you meet from all walks of life improve you as person also.

Short and long term goal setting is essential for time management whilst studying. Those applying, do everything you can to build a strong CV.
