Update March 2025

Step 1. Focus Groups and interviews: We have held focus groups and 1 to 1 interviews with people who have had a stroke or mini stroke, their relatives, healthcare professionals and other experts to understand how the Multiple Sclerosis fatigue intervention (FACETS) needs to be adapted for stroke. We also delivered an online version of FACETS to a group of 9 people.

Step 2. Co-produce a stroke fatigue self-management programme: The Focus Groups and interviews are now complete, and we are in the process of reviewing all the information collected to enable us to adapt and design the online programme. We are working with Cognitant, our industry partner and using the Healtinote platform to ensure that the online programme will be user-friendly, engaging, and tailored to the unique needs of stroke survivors.

Step 3. Initial testing: In Spring 2025 we will test the online fatigue programme with a small group of stroke survivors, to get initial feedback about whether it is easy to use and helpful.
