Chris Packham is a Careers and Employability Consultant at Careers Network, the University of Birmingham’s Careers Service. He leads the Careers Network team in the College of Arts and Law, with responsibility for providing careers services and support for students studying subjects including English, History, Modern Languages, Law, Music, Philosophy and Theology. Before joining Birmingham in 2008 he was a Careers Adviser at the University of Leicester for four years. Chris started his careers advisory work after completing the PG Dip Careers Guidance at Reading University, working at Hertfordshire Careers and Staffordshire Careers/Connexions before his higher education roles. The more ancient sections of Chris’s CV include TEFL teaching in Japan and Slovakia and working as a government auditor after his history degree at Durham University.
