Nafsika Afentou is a Research Associate in the Health Economics Unit. She is currently working on two research projects related to social care.

Nafsika’s main interest is economic evaluation in the fields of social care and mental health. After having worked in industry for a few years, she was appointed as a Research Associate in the Health Economics Unit at the University of Birmingham.

She is currently working on an MRC project led by Dr Phil Kinghorn, which aims to set a monetary capability threshold through deliberative methods, in the context of social care and public health. Furthermore, she is undergoing research for a project led by Prof. Jerry Tew about the evaluation of the Care Act legislation.
