Kumarendran is pursuing a split site PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health course focusing his research on polycystic ovary syndrome, androgen excess and cardio-metabolic outcomes.

He is a Board Certified consultant in Community Medicine in Sri Lanka.

Kumarendran is also Senior Lecturer in a Medical school in Sri Lanka.

Biography

Kumarendran completed his first degree in medicine in Sri Lanka in 2002. Later he specialised in Community Medicine by completing M.Sc. in Community Medicine (2010) and MD in Community Medicine (2015) from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

He was a visiting academic in the Institute of Applied Health Research for one year in 2015/2016.
