Rhona is a research associate for the FUEL study (Food Provision, Culture and Environment in Secondary Schools). This is a mixed methods study to evaluate the implementation of national school food standards in secondary schools and their impact on the school food environment and pupil intake of free sugars. The project is funded through the NIHR Research Public Health Research Programme.

Biography

Rhona is a mixed methods researcher concerned with childhood nutrition, childhood obesity and the influence of social norms on dietary behaviour, particularly in the school setting. She is a Research Associate on the FUEL study.

Following her MSc in Public Health Nutrition in 2017 Rhona contributed to a qualitative study on the route to diagnosis of second primary cancer at the Usher Institute, University of Edinburgh.
