Mike joined the University of Birmingham in 2013 as a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Innovation. As part of this role his remit is to develop the Business School’s Executive Education programme.

He started his career in 1995 with Rolls-Royce plc where he worked for 11 years in various technology management positions. In 2006 Mike was awarded a scholarship to study for an MBA at Nottingham University Business School, where he graduated with distinction.

After his MBA, Mike joined the University of Nottingham, first as a Business Development Executive and then as an Innovation Fellow. He then joined Aston Business School in 2010 as MBA Course Director, before taking up his current position.

Teaching

Mike's teaching focus is Strategy and Innovation Management on BSc, MSc, MBA and Executive programmes.

He is also a visiting professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
