Kate Davies is a Trial Administrator within the Early Drug Development Team at the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU), Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences at the University of Birmingham.

Kate works on the National Lung Matrix Trial, a multi-drug, multi-centre, non-comparative, multi-arm phase II trial in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Kate graduated with a BMedSci (Hons) in Medical Science from the University of Birmingham in 2002 and started working as a Medical Technical Officer in Cytogenetics, before becoming a Research Technician at the Institute of Biomedical Research.

She then worked as a Data Manager at the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit, before being promoted to Trial Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer. She coordinated the ASTRAL and PROSPER trials. More recently she worked as an Associate Practitioner in Clinical Biochemistry supervising the Molecular Biology sub-section of the Specialist Biochemistry laboratory, before becoming Trial Administrator at CRCTU.
