He is on the HEE Topol Fellowship Programme, researching the use of Artificial Intelligence in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology. Prior to this he completed a BSc in Biomedical Materials Science at the University of Manchester. Since graduating Vinay has completed Dental Foundation Training, Dental Core Training and worked as a Clinical Fellow at NHS England. This was a yearlong fellowship coordinated by the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management under the Chief Dental Officers Clinical Fellow Scheme 2018/19. Vinay was successful in receiving a Topol Fellowship, a HEE led programme, following on from the recommendations of the Topol Review: Preparing the healthcare workforce to deliver the digital future. As the sole dentist on the program his focus is looking at scoping the use of artificial intelligence in dental science.
