Mrs Lucy Flanaghan

School of Dentistry

Lucy Flanaghan is a part-time Clinical Dental Tutor in Clinical Practice at the School of Dentistry, responsible for teaching of dental students during patient treatment sessions. Outside of the School she is an Associate General Dental Practitioner in private practice in Worcestershire.

Biography

Lucy trained and qualified as a Dental Surgeon from the University of Bristol graduating in 2004.  She then commissioned as a Dental Officer in the Royal Air Force serving for 7 years.  During this time she completed postgraduate qualifications at the Royal College of Surgeon of England and served in England, Scotland, Cyprus and on Operation Telic in Iraq.

Having retired as a Squadron Leader in 2011, she settled in Worcestershire where she practises dentistry in her local community as Associate General Dental Practitioner every since.  She now combines this role with her 2018 appointment as a Clinical Dental Tutor at the School of Dentistry.
