Katie Stant is the Clinical Trials Compliance Officer within the Clinical Research Compliance Team, part of the Research & Knowledge Transfer Office in MDS. 

Katie is responsible for the maintenance of, and assuring adherence to, the UoB Clinical Trials Quality Management System; performing audits for Clinical Trials; and supporting Independent CIs through on-site monitoring and training.


  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education, University of Nottingham, 2003.
  • BSC (Joint Hons) Geography and Planning, University of Birmingham, 2002.


Katie joined the University in 2006 as a Project Officer on a research study within the Department of Primary Care Clinical Sciences.  She was involved in a number of multi-centre studies run in the department. 

In October 2014 Katie moved to the Research and Knowledge Transfer Office in MDS.
