Dr Nozari is an experienced researcher in renewable energy technologies with a demonstrated history of business engagement with SMEs in West Midlands by offering engineering consultancy and support towards decarbonizing their energy/thermal technologies. He has conducted a comprehensive experimental and analytical research on stranded and off-grid energy generation using ammonia and hydrogen. As a researcher in UoB ATETA project he has led and delivered projects on zero-carbon hydrogen generation, biomass gasification, exhaust heat recovery, emission aftertreatment, propulsion systems and fuel reforming.

His research interests include but not limited to off-grid power/heat generation and utilization, efficiency improvement and carbon footprint analysis of energy technologies, carbon-neutral energy generation and renewable fuels.

Biography

Following a BSc degree in aerospace engineering in 2009, based on his interest in propulsion systems, Hadi accomplished his master’s degree in propulsion at Sharif University of Technology in 2012. He continued his research in KOC University as a PhD candidate conducting experimental and analytical research on stranded energy generation using ammonia as a promising renewable fuel. He was awarded a PhD degree in 2017.

After a short period of research as a postdoctoral fellow in KOC University, he joined the ATETA team in the University of Birmingham as a Knowledge Exchange Research Fellow in 2018. He is conducting research in Professor Tsolakis’ research group in School of Mechanical Engineering working on a wide range of projects and energy technologies in the framework of business engagement with regional SMEs.
