Dr Roux combines single neuron recordings in human epilepsy patients and computational modeling to investigate the neural dynamics supporting episodic memory.

Dr Frederic Roux did graduate work using EEG and MEG in the group of Dr Peter Uhlhaas at the Max-Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt am Main and completed a PhD on the function and late development of alpha and gamma oscillations in large-scale networks. He subsequently worked at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language before taking up the post of Research Fellow at Birmingham.
