Alex Fox OBE FRSA is CEO of Shared Lives Plus, the UK network for Shared Lives and Homeshare. He Chairs the NHS England, Dept. Health and Public Health England review of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector and sits on the NHSE Empowering People and Communities Taskforce and the Think Local, Act Personal partnership board. He is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow, Birmingham University, and a trustee of the Social Care Institute for Excellence and the Local Area Coordination Network. Biography

Alex is CEO of Shared Lives Plus, the UK network for Shared Lives and Homeshare. Members include 5,500 Shared Lives carers who share their homes and family life with people who need support and 170+ local organisations. Alex Chairs the NHS England, Dept. Health and Public Health England review of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (www.vcsereview.org.uk), is a Think Local, Act Personal board member and member of NHS England’s Empowering People & Communities Taskforce. He is a trustee of the Social Care Institute for Excellence, a Director of the Local Area Coordination Network and an advisor for Altogether Better. Alex is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow, Birmingham University, Research Associate at ResPublica and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), for which he edited The New Social Care among other papers. He was awarded an OBE for services to social care in the 2017 New Year’s Honours.
