As well as a funded studentship, there are other ways to fund postgraduate research at the University of Birmingham.

There are many educational charities that help contribute towards the costs of funding a postgraduate research course. The following directories are available hard copy in most major libraries:

District and parish councils may also offer small awards, and some students also choose to self-fund.
