What happens if I become an 'overstayer'?

If you overstay your visa expiry date for more than 28 days you will not be allowed to apply for further leave to remain in the UK. If you overstay your visa expiry date by more than 90 days you will be barred from coming back to the UK for at least 12 months.

This is because overstaying in the UK is a criminal offence. If you over-stay your visa it will have serious implications on your immigration history and impact all future visa applications.
