What to expectPreview

Our Accommodation Open Day is designed to give you a true insight into student life at the University and the opportunity to measure the quality of the Student Accommodation at Birmingham.

In light of the recent and ever changing situation around COVID-19, we have taken the decision to postpone the Accommodation Open Day, and instead run an online event which you will be able to join from any location.

You will still have the opportunity to speak to staff about the range of accommodation options available, take virtual tours of the rooms available, and get a flavour of life at Birmingham. The event will continue to run on Saturday 21 March, and we will be in touch with further information about how to join. In the meantime, we have created a suite of useful resources to facilitate your decision making process.

There will be a free coach service running at regular intervals to all our accommodation, starting from Pritchatts Park Village at 10.00am. Please ensure you arrive early to allow enough time to view all accommodation as the estimated time you will need to view all the accommodation is around 4 hours.

We recommend that you view as much accommodation as possible and not just your preferred options, this way when you receive your offer of accommodation in the summer you will have a good idea of what to expect. There will be catering outlets available for you to purchase food and drink.

All of our villages will have at least one flat in each residence open for viewing. There will be staff and student ambassadors on hand to give you more information on residence fees, amenities, and their personal experiences of accommodation at the University of Birmingham.

Accommodation Open Day Visitor

(2019)

“The information we found out whilst talking to the students in their halls was really useful - they were all really friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had about the different types of accommodation we had seen, as well as chatting to us about their own experiences and giving us a tour around their floor if needs be.”
