Have you deferred your offer?

If you have deferred your place from Birmingham and have previously applied for accommodation, your initial application will no longer be valid for the 2021/22 academic year. So you will need to re-submit your application.

Inclusive Living

We are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive living environment, where equality is promoted and diversity is valued. If you have any specific accommodation needs, please get in touch.

We have a number of adapted flats suitable for students with disabilities to ensure your comfort and security. More information can be found on our dedicated webpage.

Guarantee Deadlines 2021/22

The University guarantees accommodation in University owned or partner accommodation to students who meet certain criteria.  Further information can be found on our Guarantee Schemes page.

The application deadlines for our guarantee schemes are below:

  • UK Undergraduate Students- 30 June 2021*
  • EU and International Undergraduate students - 31 July 2021
  • EU and International Postgraduate students - 31 July 2021

*Please note that the usual 31 May deadline has been extended to accommodate for the new UCAS deadline.

What if I'm not guaranteed accommodation?

If you do not qualify for any of our Guarantee Scheme, we still strongly encourage you to apply for accommodation. Whilst this means that you are not guaranteed University or Partner accommodation, there may still be a number of rooms available.

Should you apply, we guarantee that you will be supported to find accommodation in the private sector should we not be able to accommodate you in University or Partner residences. We work closely alongside local providers, and operate our own Lettings Membership Scheme for private landlords, to help ensure that you can make fully informed decisions and still find accommodation with the most flexible terms.
